The thing that drove me personally nuts about this is that a) historically the ministry has been pretty accurate when checked! & b) even if you thought the ministry was literally DOUBLING this number the scale of this atrocity would still be unimaginably horrific!
I cannot tell you how much doubt was consistently directed at the Gaza Health Ministry’s casualty numbers and how much pressure was put on news organizations to couch those numbers as unreliable.
