The thing about Mamdani is that he’s a talented politician but not otherworldly or one in a billion, he’s just a competent guy with popular ideas who ran against an entitled piece of shit and to me it’s a lot more optimistic to imagine 1000 campaigns like his than to view him as a unique phenomenon

streamers like Shroud are campaigning for Arc Raiders because they're salty that single-player games keep winning, and want a “W for multiplayer”, even if the actual game isn’t GOTY-worthy.
For Arc Raiders to ride the wave of human sociability all the way to the bank, while also being so contemptuous of the thing that makes us social animals in its own workflow demonstrates a lack of artistic integrity that I find impossible to ignore.

This is the literal test case for "what anti-consumer, anti-worker bs will gamers ignore if game is good". You made the right choice but I fear a large segment of players will handwave the justifiable criticism and ignore AI use and anti-worker practices in this industry if the game is good.

No it isn't. Putting forward a deeply unpopular candidate (who was exactly who the Republicans wanted to run against) plus a shockingly poor campaign in the swing states gave you Trump in 2016, and having Biden run for a second term, then drop out too late for a primary gave you him again in 2024.
