This is what you planned! This world is a machine! A Machine for Pigs! Fit only for the slaughtering of pigs!
Shoutout to the local wedding band I once heard doing a postmodern jukebox style swing cover of "Pennsylvania Furnace" by Lingua Ignota.
Just remembered that utter bobbins cover of Aerials by System of a Down that Machine Gun Kelly did.
So asking the question, what's actually the worst cover version? These spring to mind.

How many trans people have the BBC had on this week discussing the BBC's pro-trans bias?
Zero.
Zero.

There’s a good chance the British Prime Minister’s main adviser on AI is an OpenAI shareholder - but the government refuses to say whether she is.

Provide a pay check for the wettest blankets in comedy and screenwriting?
In the last decade, the BBC has legitimised climate change denialism, paved the way for Brexit, defended the coup that was prorogation, over-platformed Farage's Far Right projects, and is neutral on our abandonment of human rights norms.
What is this 'good' it supposedly does?

Cheers, my death squads are crying, nice one.
Treasonous human rights laws mean special forces now can’t even murder scads of civilians in a series of bloodcurdling war crimes and lie about what they’ve done while the government covers it up, without facing a lot of impertinent questions

The Democrats are famously against oligarchs, corporations and paedophiles so I can't see how this will backfire

Who gets to decide what that shared culture is, however, is entirely unsaid because that's obvious.
I reckon a shared national popular culture is just as important (if not more important) than a fact based, impartial news service for liberal democracy to work.

Sure, the BBC news and editorial output is currently Der Sturmer for transphobes, rightwing cranks and pro-genocide Israelis and their sycophants but also they paid this guy to make a podcast so really what can you say
There are many subtle and complex arguments one can have about the future of the BBC — but I guarantee you that no other channel or streaming service will be as committed to factual programming, children’s education, history shows, religious discussion, poetry, arts, or state of the nation debate

So the BBC is about to get much worse. BBC News gets 1.2 billion visits a month. I don’t think that level of spreading far right bullshit paid for by us is worth Doctor Who, local news (which is good for London) and CBeebies sorry

Altman has been quite clear about his strategy.
From the 2008 crash he learned that if you bind enough of the economy to your business you can do whatever you like; government will decide the rules no longer apply.
What he's selling is unaccountabilty.

I honestly don’t get the value of this company. They hoover up energy and water. Their product constantly gets things wrong and, in extreme cases, coaches people into suicide.
And it’s all built on what seems to be malicious and vast intellectual property theft.
What does OpenAI offer the world?

“authors & publishers who filed a lawsuit against the Sam Altman-led firm have secured access to internal Slack messages… discussing the mass deletion of a pirated books dataset… A NY district court ordered OpenAI to hand over the communications regarding data deletion”

I work in a university which is bleeding money and students due to government inaction and open hostility to international students. I've been waiting 9 months for crisis mental health follow up. My sister is trans and basically a shut-in now. Oh and all my bills are constantly going up!
As a Safety manager in the NHS, Labour is most likely making me redundant, and I could lose my house. Making NHS patients less safe in the process.
How are Labour policies changing your life?

Why aren't Labour's life-changing policies connecting with voters - and what can the party do? It's down to messaging, how it's told, and the messengers...

Truly the words of someone who's never had to engage with any of these services, absolute insane shit
Many folk are questioning how good we really have... well, workplaces are safer than ever, health treatments more extensive, support for children's learning needs more extensive, more elderly people are looked after than ever before, even if we know all the issues with all of these...

Once you make peace in your hearts that we are going to have to do things so heinous and violent that there won't be a place for us in the better world that follows, it's a lot easier to accept
i confess that one big reason it's hard to remain optimistic is the sheer amount of shit that needs to be handled. this idiotic out of control ai and ai economy, crypto, the shattered political order, wild wealth inequality and malevolent billionaires. a mountain of effort and courage is needed

My favourite thing about having to exclusively travel via First Bus is the drivers all hate their jobs and drive like people who don't care if they die or not.

How the fuck did they stretch this out over more then one season, did they finally play the other silent hill games and decide to mix that with Commando or something
Can't wait until the season premiere on November 26? Netflix has unveiled the first five minutes of STRANGER THINGS 5.

People need to understand that Labour would prefer Reform to win the next election rather than the Green party.
