Reading Promethea by Alan Moore. Its tricky, I go back and forth thinking its the coolest comic ever to thinking its a load of horseshit. Truly, a land of contrasts...

For me, probably the earliest book that blew my mind was Alice in Wonderland. After that, Earthsea, Chronicles of Amber, any number of random SF anthologies, Tezuka's Metropolis, too many to name.
performative reading, lack of reading skills, nobody's reading anymore -- NO!

tell me about a book that changed you

for me? the *extremely* ahistorical novel, THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY which I read at 13 and was like, "Oh, art can be *everything* to a maker, for good and bad"

AI is a plague on humanity. Countless lifetimes will be spent explaining that AI chatbots fundamentally do not tell true and accurate facts. Those who cite AI as a legitimate source of information forfeit the right to be taken seriously.
