i've been watching the coyote on Alcatraz's progress with great interest. a week-ish ago, a coyote SWAM to Alcatraz for the first time and looked fuckin rough after the dangerous swim. but the coyote is doing fine now, gorging itself on unprepared birds & rats who are dealing with a sort of Godzilla

Why is it so fucking hard for the Dems to do what’s popular for them..? Why are they obsessed with a puny pundit class who tell them the opposite?
New poll — Abolishing ICE continues its historic surge of support.

46% support
43% oppose

80% of Democrats and 15% of Trump voters support abolishing ICE.
Independents are +8 on the question.

I mean, I know plenty of people have already pointed this out, but it needs to be hammered home that this is how fascism works. It demands you accept lies as truth, even when we’ve all seen who has actually been demanding violence (Trump and his goons).
Homan: "I begged for the last two months on TV for the rhetoric to stop. I said in March -- if the rhetoric doesn't stop, there is gonna be bloodshed. And there has been. I wish I wasn't right. I don't want to see anybody die."

every time i see a white guy in their fifties radicalized by the twitter algorithm into racism and extremism i think about how it's a total failure of the youtube algorithm to instead radicalize him into home brewing, elaborate A/V setups, or DIY solar

An entire community of thousands, here legally, having been demonized with deranged lies about eating pets, is about to be arbitrarily DECLARED illegal so they can be forcibly ethnically cleansed. I don’t want to hear one more fucking word about comparisons to Nazi Germany being overwrought.

Please continue to contact your representatives and urge them to:

-oppose age verification laws
-rescind existing AV laws
-protect peoples rights to use VPNs
-protect section 230
The failure of age-verification laws is now turning into a War on VPNs. The British government and a number of US states are now proposing that VPNs be banned entirely, or only accessible to those who have surrendered to facial scans, ID check and other identity verification.
'The UK war on VPNs is an embarrassment' – backlash grows over proposed VPN age-checks
Critics are warning against proposals to restrict VPN access — but will the plans actually become law?

“Alex is now relieved. That means now it’s up to us to carry the work forward.”

Unfriendly reminder, AI is being used to destroy trust. Do not normalize the use of AI. AI can not reliably enhance videos or low-quality images.

This is the quiet replacement of reality. Do not let this be normalized.

The average salary for Gen Z is $39,416.

The average living wage salary for an individual with no kids is $48,614.

The average salary to live comfortably is $106,000.

Gen Z isn’t lazy at work.
They’re exploited for labor.

You know, having the energy and will to investigate Ilhan Omar while capitulating to reactionary elements at every level of government and political discourse is part of why we are currently embroiled in fascist times!

All the talk of 'liberal complicity' isn't just us being assholes!
Holy shit. The Biden DOJ investigated Ilhan Omar???
