It was “NO” yesterday.
It’s “NO” today.
And it’ll be “NO” when it gets to the House.

I’m not voting for something that forces millions of Americans to choose between seeing a doctor and putting food on their table.

The Supreme Court’s refusal to hear this case says it all.

They keep trying to take us backward, but we’re not going. Love always wins.

If only the Speaker put half as much energy into governing as he does into avoiding work.

He still hasn’t sworn in Representative-elect Grijalva, people are hungry, planes are grounded, and Republicans are on vacation.

They’re showing you exactly who they are. Believe them.

The Trump Administration’s cruelty knows no bounds. It’s one thing to spar with your political opponents—but starving children and seniors to make a point? That’s negligence.

I’m proud to join @repjahanahayes.bsky.social in prohibiting this administration from playing politics with people’s lives.

Nancy Pelosi’s career has been a masterclass on leadership. The first woman to ever hold the Speaker’s gavel—and she did it better than most who came before her. From passing the Affordable Care Act to standing up to Trump, she never flinched.

Madam Speaker, we salute you.

Republicans have officially caused the longest government shutdown in U.S. history.

Folks aren’t getting paid, families are wondering if they'll have food on the table — and now they’re closing off airspace right before the holidays. (1/2)

It’s Halloween, but the only thing spooky here is the way Republicans are abandoning the American people.

The courts had to step in and tell Donald Trump to feed the people. Let that sink in.

He was perfectly fine letting millions of Americans go hungry—in the middle of a shutdown that Republicans created.

Do what the judge said, Donald. Release the funds and stop playing with folks’ livelihoods.
Federal judge orders Trump administration to pay SNAP benefits out of contingency fund
The ruling came one day before funding for SNAP, more commonly known as food stamps, was set to lapse.

Today marks 30 days of the Republicans’ shutdown.

Now, 42 million Americans, including 3.5 million Texans, are at risk of losing access to SNAP.

Enough with the games. It’s time for them to show up and do their damn jobs.

Taxpayers don’t owe Donald Trump a dime for his legal battles. While he’s trying to get $230 million from the federal government to pay his own lawyers, families across this country are struggling to keep up with grocery bills and rent.

I’m tired of watching hardworking folks beg for the basics while billionaires keep cashing in.

Being able to put food on your table should never be a luxury.

You can’t call yourself pro-life while letting families go hungry.

You can’t shout “America First” while putting Americans last.

Federal workers didn’t cause this shutdown—but they’re paying the price. The HELP FEDs Act protects them from student loan penalties and credit damage while they go without pay.

Today, the White House Press Secretary told the country that this ridiculous damn ballroom is “the president’s main priority”…not reopening the government, not lowering the cost of groceries, not lowering the cost of housing, not lowering the cost of healthcare….building a ballroom

So let me get this straight…

Republicans call Democrats violent, terrorist, lawless, and so much more, but we aren’t the ones constantly wreaking havoc on this country.

Just today, a man Trump pardoned for storming the Capitol was arrested for threatening to kill Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

Today marks the first day of early voting in Texas! For the November 4 election, the early voting window runs from October 20 to October 31.

Make your voice heard, check your polling location, bring one of the approved photo IDs, and vote early.

Today marks day 20 of the Republicans’ shutdown, and unfortunately, they’ve decided that staying on vacation is more important than getting back to D.C. to open the government.

I guess they wanted a little fall break?

George Floyd should still be here to celebrate his 52nd birthday. His life sparked a movement, and our fight for justice, accountability, and humanity continues. We’ll never stop saying his name.

Today we honor the rich history, culture, and resilience of Indigenous communities—past and present.

As we recognize Indigenous Peoples’ Day, let’s commit to telling the truth about our history, protecting sacred lands, and fighting for justice that includes everyone.

The President seems unwell. From his physical symptoms to his visible cognitive decline, the American people deserve clear answers about his ability to serve. I’ve formally called on the White House Physician to provide transparency and the truth about President Trump’s health.

They’re targeting New York Attorney General Letitia James for one reason: she had the courage to hold Donald Trump accountable.

This is political weaponization of our courts, plain and simple—and proof that when you stand up to corruption, they come for you.

Let me be clear: Democrats are at work waiting for Republicans to wrap up their vacation and join us. It’s time for Mike Johnson to bring his caucus back, get to work, and stop playing politics with folks’ lives.
