So I have to magically come up with at least $130 by tomorrow in order to get the dryer fixed and I simply do not have the funds.

Anything helps - including reposts.

i watched the video for gangsta's paradise on youtube yesterday so all i can think of is batman returns now.

my dad would be a shit batman ngl.
he’s going away for a couple weeks and has put this on our fridge.

‘dad returns’ 😭
January 20, 2026 at 1:01 PM
my dad refers to himself in the third person sometimes when he's writing things for me it's so weird.

like he leaves me notes and stuff bcos of my autism and adhd and it'll be like 'dad has gone shopping' next to the coffee machine. so in the morning ik where he is.

but why not 'i have gone...' ?

labour have told nhs england to remove a lot of ppl who are on waiting lists without informing them that they're no longer on the list

they also exclude waiting lists for things like autism, adhd, assessments and they don't acknowledge the decades long waiting lists for trans ppl

this is a lie:
NHS waiting lists are down by more than 312,000 since Labour came into office.

Great to see what this means locally: @lgtnhs.bsky.social's waiting lists have fallen by 13,289.

There's still much to do, but pleased the Gov's investments are starting to pay off.

Most sociological studies agree that loneliness and suicide correspond to increased peer and scholastic pressure and dire economic circumstances, exacerbated by a lack of third spaces and safe places for youth to hang out.

Now make that chart and color in decline of job security, crashing wages, rising poverty and precarity, rising numbers of fascists and a resurgence in misogynist power fantasies among men á la tate.

It is very convenient to blame a technology, but it does not hold up to scrutiny.

Yet more, top down authoritarianism from Labour. No one is asking for this, there is no grass roots campaign for this. What we have instead is MPs and journalists shrieking for a thing because they refuse to effectively regulate social media companies
Welcome the positive signs coming from Government on this.

Young people should be protected from the clear harms social media pose. Industry has had long enough to get its house in order, and the Online Safety Act doesn’t go far enough.
Many Labour MPs back an Australian led ban on social media for under 16s.

The UK Government should give it full consideration.

Parents don't want this, children don't want this. This is the government being too scared to require social media platforms to safeguard children. This is the government wanting to deny children the resources that allow them to learn about the world.

honestly i mean i could blame the financial crash of 2008 and the start of late stage capitalism that has very clearly led to widespread despair and hopelessness for the future but i actually think it was mcdonald's changing their packaging and introducing a new chicken menu item.

Honestly, looking at politicians is really great at helping my struggle with impostor syndrome, because holy shit it apparently doesn't take a lot to be trusted with the keys to a country.

When I was young I thought that politicians would be the brightest and best, little Manti was so wrong.

That is the only reason why they have power. They are thick, evil and incompetent by design.

Can't have ppl with principles creating a functioning country with real leadership.

That would not serve US billionaire interests plundering tax money & writing policy platforms that exploit us!
at this point im just so disgusted by... not even the malice of labour politicians but the utter stupidity of them.

they really are thick. it's not an act. they are thick.

Starmer is still unsurprisingly determined to ensure that abused children and LGBT kids with unsupportive parents can’t reach out to anyone. He was obviously so sad about being forced not to starve every kid with two or more siblings so he really needed to do this.

labour politicians who disable replies on here are just. i mean. this is the liberal platform. this is the platform their base uses and they're disabling replies bcos they know how angry everyone is with them.

who is gonna vote for them if they're so unpopular they have to disable replies on here?!

'the online safety act does not go far enough'

jesus fucking christ.

we have to get rid of the labour party at the next election. they are absolutely insane ppl doing insanely dangerous things.

at this point id rather just have a reform government.

these ppl keep getting sucked in to moral panics created by american christians.

is giving all newborns genetic screening an example of things getting better?

i can see the benefits of it but also the way the world is going i don't like the potential implications.

it's a tricky one i think.
www.economist.com/science-and-... this, combined with the Government's plan to give all newborns genetic screening, is one of those stories that just show that quietly things can get better
