Every five minutes a UK family is made homeless or is threatened with it - something no one should ever have to face.

The Gov aims to change this, launching a National Plan to End Homelessness, backed by £3.5bn and shaped by people who’ve lived it & frontline workers.

Small businesses are the backbone of our communities - employing around 60% of the UK workforce.

Loved sitting down in Ladywell with council candidates Ayesha and Collet to talk about the thriving small businesses right on our doorstep and why it's so important we support them.

I know from my casework that the SEND system is not working.

I can assure you there will always be legal rights to support for children with SEND. The Gov wants to hear from children and families on the best way to secure those rights.

🎄My team and I worked with the Deptford councillors and @lewisham.gov.uk officers to make sure the Woodpecker estate has its first ever Christmas tree this year.

🎅Really enjoyed the switch on event with residents yesterday – crafts, singing and even a visit from Father Christmas!

London Fire Brigade have warned that on average, firefighters attend one e-bike or e-scooter fire every 48 hours. 🚒

Failing or damaged batteries in e-bikes or e-scooters when charging can start fast and deadly fires in homes. (1/2)

I'm super proud the Gov has announced a £170 million HIV Action Plan tackling stigma & ending new transmissions by 2030.

This is a testament to fierce campaigners, who worked tirelessly to honour those lost and to protect those still living with the disease. #WorldAIDSDay

Under the Tories, we saw the price of our prescriptions rise.

This Labour Government is listening to your concerns, tackling the cost of living crisis by freezing NHS prescription charges, keeping them under £10 for a second year.

We shouldn't pay more for medication we need.

On Tuesday the Culture, Media & Sport Select Committee
questioned Dame Julia Unwin ahead of recommending her appointment as Chair of the Charity Commission.
