Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

Nick Clegg really is the quiet villain of the past decade. A man very evidently motivated by nothing more than individual personal gain but his avoidance of ostentation and utter lack of charisma has essentially kept him off the radar. A dull poorly-suited pillar of feckless greed.

I want to start a new political party that will tax the rich, nationalise public services, and protect workers, the vulnerable, the environment, and the NHS. I was thinking of calling it the Labour Party, but apparently that name's already taken by a group of Tories who won the last election.
