Recovering X and Twitter addict. Looking for a funnier, more intelligent place.
Lifelong Leeds United supporter.
I block racists.
Elderly white hippie and proud.
Chris Mason is confusing what is happening and what he wants to happen.

It's unfashionable to praise government services but spending 2 minutes to tax your car is impressive.
Far preferable to spending an hour in Redcar Post Office while an amusement arcade owner pays in the last 6 months takings.

The less that helpful contribution from Anas Sarwar, paradoxically, makes Starmer more secure IMHO. There is no route or credible candidate to replace Starmer at the moment.
Excited Mason, Coates and co are suffering from what doctors call Premature Hack Elation.

Mason, Coates and others cut their teeth under Johnson and Brexit.
For them, politics is light entertainment. They're no different to gossip columnists and offer zero serious analysis of the complex world of 2026.

Truss craves relevancy, attention and respect. Instead, she faces 30 + years of ridicule.
She would be well advised to concentrate on being a good spouse, parent, friend, member of the community. I reckon she'd be far happier.

I shouted at the TV on Friday during the Leeds game for someone to cross the ball to Calvert Lewin.
It happened 20 minutes later and he scored.
Glad the team listened.

Something magnificent about Kemi Badenoch's self-confidence, and her claim that the Mandelson affair is entirely down to her asking questions at PMQs. Like a toddler who thinks their plastic steering wheel is controlling the car.

I'm no longer a Labour member. Nowt suspicious I just like a break every few years.
However, if the Reform like attitudes are commonplace I won't be returning.
Not just a slight difference of opinion but 180 degrees different to my beliefs.
Yes, god help we risk a floundering government that feels like no one is in charge.

The Monday Stretch, Bach Before 7, Not the Nine O Clock News features, news bulletins and Barry from Ludlow emailing to say he's enjoying the Eric Satie are not reasons listeners choose #Radio3 in the morning.
It's the music.

Millions of Americans are unhappy. Millions of other Americans are happy, generous and relaxed about the state of their country.
The former group believes their only route to happiness is to make the latter group as unhappy as they are.
Donald Trump is their poster boy.

Inspired by pals of McSweeney claiming credit for the General Election victory I'm announcing I was responsible for City's win at Anfield.
Anyone who went on the doorstep will know it was gross Tory incompetence and public loathing of Truss and co that resulted in the Labour victory.
Not *all* Labour MPs wanted McSweeney out.

“Gutted about Morgan”, one texts.

“So many of us know he’s brilliant to work with, so exceptional at the bigger picture strategic thinking, relentlessly focused on the moving pieces… and credit him with winning the majority”.

Wish we had more games like #LIVMCI.
Not just the wonderful game but Peter Drury was temporarily lost for words.

I despair at the calibre and brain power of some Labour MPs.
Yes, god help we risk a floundering government that feels like no one is in charge.

The producers of Super Bowl know nothing about half time entertainment.
At #lufc we had dizzy penalties.
A fan (usually drunk, often morbidly obese) was picked from the crowd. A football was placed on the penalty spot and the fan had to spin round it 10 times and then attempt a penalty.

George missed a trick, he should have replied
"If you mean the actress Yootha Joyce, she died at 53 from cirrhosis of the liver after a life long battle with alcoholism"
Hats off to the children's entertainer at the birthday party my 5 year old granddaughter attended today.
When a kid told him his name was George, the entertainer asked him "How's Mildred?"
Genius!!!

Bloke on Sky Sport says only West Ham of the clubs fighting to avoid relegation have had a good weekend.
Clearly, they are not aware of Cathy MacGowan saying the weekend started at 6pm on a Friday.

Reform don't have a policy forum. They just employ a bloke who writes down conversations he overhears in saloon bars of pubs in the Home Counties.

The documentaries available to download from PBS are superb.
"Nixon in His Den" tells the story of Nixon and his increasing paranoia and law breaking before his resignation.
Compared to Trump, Richard Nixon was a card carrying member of the Woodcraft Folk.
