Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has stated that the 1918 flu pandemic was caused by a lab virus from vaccine research, a defective influenza vaccine. Let’s analyze what a lie this is. First, in 1918, 107 years ago, virology was in its infancy

Chicago resisted. Protests came with a price. Bruises from pepper balls and fits of sickness from the tear gas. But also the shattering of illusions and loss of faith that what they witnessed could not happen in America. It did and is happening in America www.chicagotribune.com/2025/12/28/c...
64 days in Chicago: The story of Operation Midway Blitz
President Donald Trump’s federal immigration enforcement operation led to most surreal autumn in Chicago history. What happened during those 64 days will be remembered for a long time.

I’ve been reading a lot of conservative Christian content and it’s amazing to me that millions of people base their entire moral framework on word choices by random people 2,000 years ago.

The more I look at the right, the more I realize how much of their ideology is due to their inability to count.
RFK: “Where did all this autism come from? It never existed when I was a kid!”

“A Christmas Story”, a 1983 movie based on a 1971 memoir about a childhood in the 1930s: “This is my brother Ralphie. He has a ton of sensory issues and behaviors we don’t understand. Every family has a child like him.”

A useful thread about the philosemitic antisemitism of the Christian right--IOW, an explanation for why their unqualified support of the Israeli state is totally consistent with their wish for a future in which Jews convert or perish.
If you have not actually studied dispensational premillennialist theology, the critical part to know is that even though Israel must exist for the "end times" checklist to begin, later steps of the checklist explicitly involve all Jewish people forcibly converted to Christianity or dead.

A lot of conservative behavior makes sense when you realize their hierarchy is man over woman, adult over child, white over non-white, straight over gay, Christian above everyone else.

Want to know why they don’t care if Trump’s involved with Epstein? Man above woman, above child.
This has nothing to do with faith or observance btw. It’s just about establishing an official hierarchy of citizenship where they are on top. bsky.app/profile/mark...
Here’s the U.S. government being officially religious in a country with no official religion.

And Christian nationalists get pissed when you call them Christian nationalists.
Margaret Atwood was right: “I didn’t put anything into the book that had not already happened in real life.”

In a nation with no official religion, state power is once again wrapped in religious symbolism ... bright, public, and unmistakable.

The overwhelming message of the New Testament is that the deity sends to Hell those who oppress the poor, the orphan, the widow, the imprisoned, the sick, the stranger; those who discriminate and hate; those who use power to make others worse off.
Pope Leo said in a Christmas Eve sermon that the story of Jesus being born in a stable because there was no room at an inn should remind Christians that refusing to help the poor and strangers today is tantamount to rejecting God himself. For @reuters.com

I’ve been reading through a lot of conservative Christian content lately and “I believe in the death penalty because God created it” and “empathy isn’t in the Bible” are two things I’ve seen from people with huge audiences.
If you’re wondering why your friends in academia are a little on edge right now, it’s because an eighteen-year-old who hasn’t done the reading, doesn’t look at the assignment, and has does no critical thinking skills more complex than “because I think it’s in the Bible” can literally end your career
