I looked it up. It’s a question. Asking if we should forget old friends. The answer seems to be no.
“What does this song mean? For my whole life I don't know what this song means. I mean, 'Should old acquaintance be forgot.’ Does that mean we should forget old acquaintances or does it mean if we happen to forget them we should remember them, which is not possible because we already forgot them!?”

Trump abandoned his duty to defend the Constitution on January 6. It was a profound betrayal of American democracy. And Republicans, MAGA, and right-wing media have tried to erase one of the most treacherous acts in US history.
Smith: He was getting calls from people he trusts, people he relies on—and he still refused to come to the aid of the people at the Capitol. That’s very important evidence for criminal intent in our case.

They're going to *throw out* one-of-a-kind NASA archives?!

Not even a year since the Inauguration & we're already at the 2nd-time-as-farce version of the burning of the Library of Alexandria.

Slam meet dunk.
Question: But the president’s statements that he believed the election was rife with fraud—those are statements protected by the First Amendment, correct?

Smith: Absolutely not. If they are made to target a lawful government function and are made with knowing falsity, then no, they are not.

Happy New Year with real fascist stuff about expelling a third of the nation. Wonder who’ll be targeted.

A shill for Putin couldn’t say it better.
Trump: "Russia wants to see Ukraine succeed. It sounds a little strange but President Putin was very generous in his feeling toward Ukraine succeeding, including supplying energy, electricity and other things at very low prices."

Russia can offer much larger bribes and business deals to Trump, his family, and his friends than Ukraine can, and since Trump is the most corrupt and most compromised US president in history, that puts Ukraine in a tough spot

Zelensky lands in Miami. Not a single US official is on hand to greet him. In the language of diplomacy this send an unequivocal message of coldness and hostility. Compare it with the lavish pomp and red carpet shown to Putin when he landed in Alaska a few weeks ago.

That’s just an afterthought.
The Washpost edit board calls Trump’s bombing in Nigeria “a welcome change in a part of the world that has always been little more than an afterthought for the president” — and has zero mention of the thousands in Africa facing starvation because of USAID cuts

It’s always projection.
Trump wishes a Merry Christmas to "the many Sleazebags who loved Jeffrey Epstein … only to 'drop him like a dog' when things got too HOT, falsely claimed they had nothing to do with him."

Trump then says he dropped Epstein before anyone and had nothing to do with him.
