This family is incredible, and their determination - not just to get justice for Natalie, but to address VAWG generally - is an absolute inspiration. They deserve so much admiration and most of all peace and justice.

Every time I see something about renaming the Kennedy Centre, my brain immediately thinks of the shopping centre in Andersonstown and wonders what Trump wants with West Belfast.

I have been in this line of work for a long time and have delivered training on vawg to thousands of women. I've never met one without these experiences. Most are young when it happens for the first time, and most are from people they know or are acquainted with, eg classmates.
Dog-whistle and factually incorrect. Ladies, raise your hand if you were sexually assaulted by a boy at school? I’d wager this or a family member is most women’s first experience of sexual violence

Not an original observation, but the way pregnancy is treated as just this natural process that happens with no effort or harm to the body in the era of medicalisation is a big reason that debates about abortion are where they are today.

I don't think a party leader picking a "good on paper" candidate for a presidential election is the worst thing a Fianna Fáil leader has ever done. I don't even think it's the worst thing MM has ever done.
I get that a possible resignation is exciting but this is a very weak political story.

Please note, this is not juat a bad medical take and not just transphobic (although it is both of those things) it is coded language for "women are for breeding (white babies) and if you can't do that you're an unperson". Musk knows hysterectomies exist. But those women don't count for his project.
