It's PLR statement day, and it's exactly the boost I needed to start my week. My heartfelt thanks to the thousands of people who've borrowed my books. I get a little money for each time you do, and it all helps to keep me writing.

I second this. Polite Society is an absolute romp. Don't miss.
Polite Society is on Film4, Wednesday night at 9pm and I'd hugely recommend it: teenage would-be stuntwoman plots to stop her older sister's wedding, having decided the bridegroom is secretly evil.
Enormous fun - this was my NYE film a couple of years ago.

A terrible backwards step here in Wales, just days into the supposed "National" Year of Reading. This will have a lasting impact on Wales' poorest children. #KidLit #KidLitUK
❗URGENT: Babies & toddlers in Wales will lose access to #Bookstart and other BookTrust Cymru programmes as the Welsh Government has stopped direct funding.

This will affect the poorest families first and hardest.

"Shows made for YouTube would be focused towards younger audiences... as well as children’s programmes." This seems like a really smart move, and it's always great to hear there are new children's shows in the pipeline.

This sounds like a cracking premise!
GLITTERATI - my new YA thriller, out with Penguin, March 2027. Imagine if a teen ‘Talented Mr Ripley’ lied his way into a White Lotus-like setting where the outrageous wealth on display can’t cover up dark secrets for long.

Looks like ARCs for THE UNFINISHED BUSINESS are making the rounds! I still have a few, if any US-based people would like one.

The book is out on 3 March, and you can preorder now! :)

Hi @schoolreadinglist.bsky.social. I really admire much of the work you do, but using AI graphics undermines the artists you're supposedly supporting. And using those graphics to tell the rest of us to stop using AI is... well it's baffling. Please stop. #KidLit #KidLitUK

In honour of Hayao Miyazaki's birthday, what's your favourite Studio Ghibli film? Doesn't have to be the one you think is "the best", just the one that nestled in your heart. Mine is Whisper of the Heart.
