Fuck this garbage. Think of all the talented artists in Glasgow who you could have chosen from to get a payday from this gig instead of the money being handed over to a slop merchant.
NEW: Glasgow City Council has just approved a massive AI-generated mural to be painted in the city centre.

The illustration of Scottish elements inexplicably contains a bald eagle.

The planner says those upset about it are "keyboard warriors" who should "calm down"

We have made the decision to formally close our X social media account. Once a vibrant platform to promote the interests of authors, we feel X is no longer a trusted place for balance, community support, and reliable information.

This was in the donations pile this week and at first glance I thought ‘here we go’ but after leafing through it for a bit, I’ll admit I’m wrong. This looks brilliantly insightful and painfully true.

Important information!
A while back I did a tour of london to find the best cinnamon bun shops. (If anyone's interested, the winner was Casey's in Clapton, annoyingly only open Thur-sun and the weekends are rammed but that kind of makes it more special when I do get one). I'd like to do the same for bread rolls. Any tips?

Just reflexively oppositional, YOU NEGOTIATED THIS DEAL! If you'd not held the election when you did, Rishi would have signed it. YOU WERE IN THE FOREIGN OFFICE AT THE TIME.
This is (1) disgraceful at a moment of national danger, (2) laughably unserious and (3) deeply unwise when the President is obviously becoming incapacitated and the most unpopular person in the whole UK. Utterly disqualifying.

Suggested EU response:

- US airbases now represent an armed presence, inside our borders, of a nation that is openly threatening to invade our territory
- Withdraw the threat or we have no choice but to close those bases
- This turns USA from a global power to a regional one, overnight

You miss MLK's view of service if you embrace this: "Life's most persistent and urgent question is 'What are you doing for others?" and not: "Philanthropy is commendable, but it must not cause the philanthropist to overlook the circumstances of economic injustice which make philanthropy necessary."
