All kinds of spaces. All sorts of feelings. All at the National Trust.
'Warrior' was no ordinary horse. He was General Jack Seely's constant companion throughout life. Born on the Isle of Wight, it was on these shores Warrior showed his potential to become a brave cavalry horse. The only time he left was to serve in the war.

Looking like they sprouted straight out of a fairy-tale, these fly agarics were spotted at Emmetts Garden.
The spots are remnants of the white veil that first enclosed them as young mushrooms.

Volunteers and community crafters have come together to create a poignant tribute at Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire.
More than 11,000 hand-crafted poppies adorn the Chapel of St Mary the Virgin in honour of those who have served and sacrificed.
We will remember them.

This has been dubbed one of the rediscoveries of the century.
This endangered wolf spider, unseen in Britain for four decades, has been rediscovered at Newtown National Nature Reserve on the Isle of Wight - a major conservation win for the Species Recovery Project, supported by Natural England.

Twenty years of support. Huge thanks to Alitex Glasshouses who, through sales of their National Trust range, have generated £1m to help fund our work looking after historic gardens for everyone.

Oh my gourd! Tyntesfield near Bristol is giving us pumpkin to talk about.
Around 2,000 pumpkins from more than 50 varieties grown in the Kitchen Garden make up this year's autumn arrangement.

Here's your reminder to look out for hedgehogs this Bonfire Night.
Stacks of logs and leaves look real inviting to hedgehogs searching for places to hibernate. Remember to check your bonfires before lighting them!

Good news and fluffy owlets from our team in the South West!
Working closely with the West Cornwall Ringing Group, our ranger team has recorded the most successful barn owl breeding season in Cornwall. A total of 21 chicks were raised, a clear sign of a thriving population.

We're delighted to be working with MJC-Associates to record the graffiti & inscriptions at Stoneacre. The house is a medieval timber-framed building, with many later alterations to the fabric, including those undertaken by Aymer Vallance, who presented the house to the National Trust in 1928.

Be warned - lattice stinkhorn fungus gives off an odour of rotten flesh. How apt it was spotted at Greenway in Devon in time for Halloween!

When in the woods, best beware of dead man's fingers lurking there.
Reaching up above the ground, a creepy fungi to be found.
Happy Halloween everyone.
