A coastal view on a sunny September day on the Isle of Mull at Calgary Bay, Isle of Mull, Inner Hebrides, Scotland. It captures the stunning white shell-sand beach and turquoise waters of Calgary Bay framed by steep sloped rocky hills either side. There is a scattering of seaweed deposited on the beach from an earlier high tide. Large fluffy white clouds fill the right hand side of the bright blue sky, the left hand side has some thin streaky clouds. The city of Calgary in Canada is named after it. The story goes that a Colonel Macleod of the North West Mounted Police so enjoyed a holiday at Calgary that on his return to Canada in 1883 he gave the city the same name.

This wonderful male fox who I named Cream is back to his usual self after a limpy few weeks. The colour of his fur is amazing, just like his beautiful eyes While feeding a huge murder of crows, I know about 10 with different characteristic. Their sounds and their behaviour around me and some just by their feathers. This one I know as white tips, it graciously waited for me to take a photo

Before my description of the photo, a few words about my charity walk this month. The Chartwell Cancer Trust provides support and care for adults and children with Cancer and Leukaemia. 2026 will be my 13th year volunteering with them which is why I decided to walk 100 miles in January to help with their fundraising efforts. I’ve walked every day this month come sun - very rare - and rain… all too frequent. Today, after my final walk, these are my stats: 31 days / 105 miles / 33hours 52min And a total raised of over £1,500 so far! A huge THANK YOU to everyone on BlueSky who has donated and supported me - you know who you are!
