are renewables better for the environment than fossil fuels? yes. is it cheaper? also yes. is it less dangerous to extract? yes, significantly.

but you've gotta understand if we switched, the people who are currently wealthy would not be as wealthy

Springboarding off of @prisonculture.bsky.social from earlier … I am sick as SHIT of anybody who’s got the gall right now to pretend that the question of whether trans people “deserve“ rights is ANY kind of debate. It’s humanity across the board or hit the fucking bricks. Up or down. Stop playing!

We're doing these racists a big favor when we pretend their project is in any way based on actual grievance with modern DEI policy. They just want to promote the belief that no non-white person has ever been worthy of any praise or qualified for any honor or position
This is blood-boiling. Charles Rogers was awarded the Medal of Honor in Vietnam after being wounded three times leading the defense of a position.

Google his name and the entry below comes up. When you click, you'll see the page has been deleted and the URL changed to include "DEI medal."

These executive orders on banning federally funded entities from recognizing trans people or disallowing them from using the bathroom are not self-executing or immediately enforceable. They require formal rule making at a minimum. They are a scare tactic. Ignore and do not comply in advance.

The House bill that would ban transgender athletes is a smokescreen. Republicans don’t know what to do about the economy, the driving issue in last year’s election, so they’re going after transgender kids in hopes voters won’t notice they aren’t doing their jobs.

Opinion: House GOP obsesses over transgender athletes rather than economic issues
Instead of trying to help the majority of Americans, House lawmakers focused on minuscule number of transgender girls and young women who play sports.
