Jordan Stolz not racing second 500 on final day of Olympic trials. No reason for him to; Erin Jackson not doing, either.
Stolz will do the mass start.

Jordan Stolz choices were to prioritize his training or focus on the Olympic trials.
Widely, he chose the former. Because the Olympics are what matter.

Nothing was keeping Brittany Bowe from winning the 1,500 meters. Not even collision.

Jordan Stolz cruises to win in the first 500. He’d already qualified based on his World Cup performances but still goes. 34.761.

Erin Jackson, defending Olympic champion in the 500, skates a 38.167. Doubtful anyone will top that - and they don’t need to, because Jackson had already qualified her spot because of her World Cup results.

No streak lasts forever. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing because competition makes even the best athletes better.

“I don’t believe it’s possible to win every race in the season with the competition level. Actually, I hope it wouldn’t be possible.”

Good race overall for US women, who have four in the top 20.
Besides Shiffrin in second, Moltzan finishes fourth, A.J. Hurt is 13th and Nina O’Brien is 19th.

Mikaela Shiffrin’s win streak is over. Finishes second to Cami Rast, who refused to be beaten two weekends in a row.
What a fun battle between these two.

My word, Paula Moltzan.
Has what has to be her best slalom race yet and is into first with three skiers left.
