When Howard Dean was the Democratic frontrunner for President, he was disqualified, by the media, for yelling "Yeah!" once.

At some point we just have to admit that mainstream media sources are biased.
Remember in 2000 when Al Gore was repeatedly misquoted as having said he invented the internet and that was seen the eyes of many as disqualifying him from office? Simpler times. Today, Trump makes up lies equivalent to "I invented the internet" 30 times a week and no one bats an eye. Good job media

When a news outlet puts a reckless, undocumented claim by the Trump regime in the main headline and puts medical experts’ pushback in the smaller type, it’s making a choice. And not a good one.

Behold, the consequences of f*cking capitalism.

Does the fate of the US economy now hinge on one company?
The entire stock market, and therefore the entire economy, depends on it maintaining pretty impossible growth metrics.

Yes this is conspiratorial thinking. With no evidence you're accusing the CIA of threatening to kill children unless they agree to carry out an attack on American soldiers.

Pretty sure this is it, *this* is the act of cruelty that will finally convince people that actually Reform are wrong and the problems with our politics aren't that The Invidious Foreigner is undermining us from within but actually we've just lacked sensible technocratic management in Whitehall.

does feel like a big thing that he's dropping below 40
NEW: for the first time in his second term, President Trump has dipped below 40% approval, according to our presidential approval averages. He's experienced a sharp dip in the past month or two, mostly thanks to concerns about the economy.

There's A LOT of misinformation about animation, especially Disney's animation, online. On tumblr, this post floats around suggesting that the big studios gave up on 2D because it's more unionized than CG or whatever, and you can tell whoever wrote that KNOWS nothing. That's NOT why it happened.

Especially when you consider that Walt HATED the look of Xerography, HATED the scratchiness of it vs. the more painstaking process and delicate work done by the Ink & Paint Department.

This is what I mean by some online lefties looking for sinister things and intentions where they are simply NOT there. If we can't tell actual bad things in history from the things that actually happened for other reasons, then we make ourselves look like the stereotypical lib Fox News whines about.

'Sleeping Beauty' flopped in 1959, leading to cutbacks of the animation department in favor of theme parks, to make animation production faster/cheaper. Much of the women were the Ink & Department, yes, but getting rid of women were not why the cuts were made.

Please stop spreading misinfo, thanks.
the reason 101 dalmations looks like that is because disney incorporated xerography (ie early photocopying technology) into the animation process. rough pencils (by mostly male animators) were copied onto the cels so that disney could fire the (mostly female) inkers. remember that art can lie to you

honestly, the same thing I'm doing now.

it's hard to imagine the world we'd live in if we all had UBI. we could just... work to supplement our income, choosing what we wanted to do, instead of doing whatever just to live, that's crazy to me
Honest question: If everyone got Universal Basic Income, no strings attached, what would YOU do with it?

Disabled people need healthcare, housing, food and social supports.

This should not be controversial.

They shouldn’t have to have “thought ahead” and purchased disability insurance.

They shouldn’t have to beg, grovel and “prove their worth”.

They shouldn’t left to die.

We are not expendable

- A cartoon series doesn't always need to be deep or emotional to be interesting.
- Indie animation is great, but fighting for unions at major studios is just as important.
- Limited animation has value. "Less is more" as the old saying goes.
