Aspiring low-information voter.
would be kind of fun if Alberta thought about the ramifications of this for a second or two

"every accusation is a confession" just entered the chat
Premier Smith asked if there will be changes to recall act.

Says threshold won't change, but raises issues on how MLAs can defend themselves, fears that go fund me campaigns are being funded by foreign actors and that the AFL is bussing people into ridings to help campaigns.

brilliant
Quebec City is beefing up its bike share (called àVélo) in areas most affected by construction of the upcoming tram project.

àVélo is a fully electric public bike share service that saw 2 million trips in 2025, which I believe is higher than Vancouver’s Mobi!
àVélo sera bonifié autour des travaux du tramway de Québec
L'ajout de stations aidera à faciliter les déplacements dans les secteurs affectés par les travaux, comme Laurier et René-Lévesque, espère Marchand.

Daveberta just doesn't understand that any money spent on owning libs gets divided by 100. Jason Kenney was wise with this knowledge.

I apologize, west Edmonton, I was not familiar with your game.
Based on this map from r/edmonton Knack won every neighbourhood with a protected on street bike lane. #yegbike

TL;DR

The AG finds that the Dynalife fiasco was yet another fiscal disaster for taxpayers courtesy the UCP, and that Adriana LaGrange meddled in matters that should have been exclusively AHS' domain.

And why wouldn't you? It only builds political capital.

It is SO refreshing to see one of the good guys do actual politics for once! 🥹

Urbanism—the notion that cities are good, that we should build housing in the dense walkable neighborhoods where people want to live, and that urban governance should prioritize city residents’ quality of life over suburban drivers’ convenience—remains a radical political program in America.
One thing that’s so frustrating living in a city center is the pervasive belief among suburbanites that your neighborhood is nothing more than a consumer experience for them and that the city should bend over backwards to ensure they can speed as fast as possible on their way to buy treats in it.

Over 20 million Canadians live in the ~500 km long corridor between Toronto and Montréal

This is as dense if not more densely populated than many parts of Europe

The reason we don’t build this stuff is because Canada’s government puts the interests of businesses ahead of the interests of people

The real question we should be asking is how did marigold build 7 blocks of protected on street infrastructure in two weeks while the private contractors delivering the $100m projects are taking months or years to deliver projects, some of which are shorter.
We got a rapid implementation of protected infrastructure providing an effective, non-impactful detour. Five years ago, the official response would have been to just close the lane, provide no alternative, and tell us to get rekt.

It's not perfect, but I'm taking a win.

ETR doing the Lord’s work
Today we setup at Coliseum LRT Station to talk to transit riders about the station design

riders can envision a better, more comfortable future for Coliseum Station, and the best part is, the city has millions of dollars available to put towards it through Expo Lands funding.

$100 million doesn’t get you much these days.
Seen on the new SUP on the north side of 137 Ave between the north and south-bound legs of Manning Drive. I thought the city had stopped doing this kind of thing. Surely there were other options? #yegbike

When you see this situation this winter, remember that 100% of people wlaking and biking are Edmonton residents. They pay for the snow removal. That's not true of many people who drive in Edmonton.

We subsidize people from other communities and get lower quality service than they do.
This looks like a photo I tool last winter, of 106 St in Old Strathcona. Except my photo included the plow moving car lane snow into the elevated bike lane....

Thankfully noticed that the car wasn't going to yield as it was supposed to and avoided being hit while leaving the cancer hospital.
As much as I think about how ironic it would be to be hit by a car going to/from cancer treatment I'm just not that committed to the bit.
