one of many reasons why the whole "Democrats have no space for men" argument is bullshit is that they still keep misogynist creeps like Larry Summers around
I refuse to believe that Larry Summers' expertise and skills are indispensable in any way. Please find another economist and policy expert, @americanprogress.bsky.social. There are loads out there.

A lot of education discourse is at root an inability to decide whether the purpose of our education system is to 1) teach material and measure learning 2) reward students who work hard 3) separate the smart kids (destined for smart guy jobs) from the dumb kids (destined to serve the smart guys)

My grandmother died earlier this week. I would have loved to get to talk to her one more time. So I'm on pretty solid ground when I say: fuck this AI zombie shit directly into the sun.
For real, check this out. Evil.

19th C Swedish and Sami missionary Lars Levi Laestadius banned Sami dress and jewelry. He believed the devil resided in the hat's horn. He was instrumental in the colonization of Sami people in Sweden.
A lone sleigh and reindeer travel through the endless Northern winter night. Gorgeous print by indigenous Sami artist Britta Marakatt-Labba. The traveller is watched over by 3 Sami goddesses (right) whose red horned headdresses had them 'banned' by Christian Swedes. Modern Sami are reclaiming them.

1. Open borders, for real -- make it as easy to move between countries as it is to move between states

2. Make millionaires illegal -- 100% tax on income over $1 million.

3. Personhood for everything in the non-human world.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

So much work remains to be done.

Calling the Democrats “cowards” suggests that they're scared to do what's right when they show no fervent interest in being an opposition. They're largely colluders, not cowards. Many want their base to think they're cowards to maintain investment in the idea that they can be pushed to do better.

The Republican party needs to be destroyed because it is evil, but the Democratic party needs to be destroyed because it is useless. That is a really devastating situation when both make up a two-party system of government of the previously most powerful nation on earth.

1.This is not the only known example we know of ChatGPT cheering on a vulnerable young person to die by suicide, this time it is a recent Texas A&M grad
2. Every single university that has invited OpenAI into our midst should be asked to account for their choices.
