The Belmont reservoir saga in Sandyford/Stepaside has run on for many years since planning permission was given back in 2011.

A lesson for planners on how not to give disappearing developers a way to wriggle out of their commitments. #sandyford #stepaside #disappearingdevelopers

I really believe the tech bros build Ai systems to give confident, if often wrong, answers because that works for them. That’s what they do every day. They don’t understand that most people *need* to be correct, that they don’t have thirteen safety nets to catch them if they make a mistake.

1. Family reunification is ALREADY limited to "close family"

2. Forcing people to avoid claiming benefits they are entitled to and need under threat of being refused citizenship is horrifically cruel. That was the policy under Michael McDowell and it caused great hardship to the most vulnerable.
New: major overhaul of immigration laws to see citizenship denied to those who got welfare, or are in debt. Family reunification only for close family, tighter rules around self sufficiency. Changes to revoke residency for those who commit serious crimes

They do the same thing here, it's part of the HSE current model of 'Care'. After years of being on a waiting list they do this to Trans People when they are seen by the National Gender Service (NGS)

It is not best medical practice, it is not in line with international standards.
Cis people, how many times have you been asked to describe how you masturbate, and what you think about when you do, to access healthcare on the NHS?

It doesn't even make sense from a "saving money" standpoint. Coke's ad took ~100 people to comb through 70,000 clips to find a dozen serviceable shots for a 60s ad.

AI corps are selling services at a massive loss. If you're barely saving anything now what happens when the prices goes up 600%?

One pair of numbers nicely illustrates where the Irish housing crisis actually originates.
* There were 1000 housing units awaiting planning permission due to judicial review in 2024.
* In 2024 there were more than 80,000 housing units with planning permission on which construction had not started.

The Irish Times published and lauded John Collison's op-ed, but did they fact-check it?

Andrew Jackson did. Thoroughly.

If you spent time reading the original, you'd want to give time to this counterpoint as well.
