After a UK group making the effort to get the evidence against this man, one of our judges (you know who already) gave the offender a reduction because the offender says he sorry.
Jailed for a mere 2.5 years for grooming (what he thought was) a 9 year old girl, sending her videos of herself masturbating, telling her he wanted to take her away overnight. Making upskirting videos, collecting child sex abuse images.

Guess who the judge is. Go on, just guess.

Gaeltacht planning guidelines which various ministers have promised to be delivered soon on numerous occasions since 2022 will now not be delivered appear to be on the long finger once again. #Gaeilge

Surprise and criticism as Gaeltacht planning guidelines delayed again until 2027
Campaigners for Gaeltacht housing are bitterly disappointed over the lack of urgent measures in the housing plan published today.

Vance channelling his inner Simon Harris
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

Someone stood there filming her fighting to save the life of a pedestrian who had been run over. The family not only had to deal with the knowledge that the video was being shared online but someone sent it as an attachment to one of them shortly after his death.

On the pitiful attempts to convince everyone McSweeney wasn't briefing:

“In London, meanwhile, Labour officials are trying to claim that some of the UK’s top political journalists were “tricked by several imposters” pretending to be No 10 staff when they reported on a plot to depose Keir Starmer”

Megyn Kelly going with “ackshually it’s called ephebophile” and defending pedophile sex trafficking pests is a complete mask off moment
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."

This is why we'll never have universal healthcare, won't meet our climate obligations, our young people can't get a home, the constant push to drop neutrality, and why we won't stop trading with the Occupied Territories. Policy is bought and paid for.
The Irish fossil fuel industry welcoming a politician on board as their paid lobbyist.

Until recently he was Fine Gael's spokesman on Climate Action.

In many democracies this wouldn't even be legal, let alone acceptable.

Wondering why govt is relaxed about exposing the public to €26bn in EU fines?

“not only are we off track in relation to our targets, we’ve gone backwards... Ireland is one of the world’s biggest fossil fuel investors... playing an outsize role.. a key global centre for investment in fossil fuels.”
November 13, 2025 at 6:05 PM
"Irish taxpayers have subsidised fossil fuels by €4.7 billion in the last five years and this has impeded the transition to a cleaner, more efficient economy."

Yep.
All four Fine Gael MEPs voted with the far-right: Nina Carberry, Regina Doherty, Seán Kelly, Maria Walsh

Independent Ireland MEP Ciaran Mullooly also sided with the far-right

The centre-right abandoned talks with the greens, centre-left and liberals on an alternative deal
EU conservatives vote with far right to approve cuts to green rules
The outcome highlights the EPP’s willingness to abandon its traditional centrist coalition allies.

Here are the Irish MEPs who just sided with the far-right (fascists, racists, sexists, homophobes, climate deniers) from across the EU

They've voted to gut protections that would have made businesses check and report their supply chains for child labour, human rights abuse or nature destruction

An organised state campaign to ensure starving toddlers don't get formula and all kids are prevented from having life-saving vaccines. A crime against humanity.

Will that stop us trading with the people doing it? No. According to IBEC and chums in govt that would be "performative" and not "mature"

There has been an alarming drop in the level of rthetorical structure in state housing strategy.

2016: Rebuilding Ireland. Five pillars.

2021. Housing for All. Four pillars.

2025. Delivering Homes, Building Communities. Two pillars.

If this trend continues we'll be out of pillars by 2029.
At the launch of the long awaited housing plan this morning - Minister for Housing James Browne says the scale of homes needed is now far beyond previous estimates.

He says the new plan is built around two pillars: supporting people and activating supply.

I would honestly love to see Britain trying to ban VPNs
The UK govt: "Hmm, we might have to ban VPNs & a whole range of otehr basic privacy safeguards, to Protect The Children, y'know."

Also the UK govt: "It's perfectly fine to let Nazi billionaire & friend of Epstein Peter Thiel trawl through the entire corpus of NHS personal data on your children."
