The most salient point in Irish politics for the year ahead. If SF constantly have to be dragged back to the left, then they cannot be considered left any more.
SF have shown no inclination to lean left. For the last decade and more, have always been the last to get in line with left wing parties, and shown an instinct to jump right at every opportunity.
They are not a left wing party, they are FF 2.0.
