This thread fully explains why all the people who've been tracing anti trans movements for years are kinda insane now. It's been big. It's been widespread. It has not been subtle. And no one fucking listened to us. Possibly the most successful conservative retrenchment since WWII.
Yeah for people not up to date on the back story, the conservative war on "Gender Ideology" actually started as a response to Gender Theory, and specifically the impact of Judith Butler's "Gender Trouble" at the United Nations summit for women in 1995.
This is more directly about trans people but "gender ideology" has always kind of meant "the abominal idea that men and women can be equal"

I never do good things for others bc I want attention for them, & in fact prefer to be anonymous and unaffiliated with a group like 99% of the time bc helping others should always be its own reward, but sometimes I think about telling my stories bc I want to inspire others to take similar action.

I've never seen a population more united. If people can hold onto that unity, if people can accept that different people will have different ways of confronting fascism, if we can remind NGOs and orgs that they can join but not control the resistance, then, well, people here will write history.

I've been here 24 hours, but already with what I've seen, well, I genuinely believe we're going to win. People here are well aware that what happens here impacts the entire country, that it sets the tone for resistance. ICE is angry, ICE is terrified, of how deeply unpopular it is.

This has just made me realize I know everything neonatal kittens need re: nutrition up to about 8-9wks, and then I know what adult cats need to eat for optimal health, especially kidney/IBS/hyperthyroid cats bc that's my specialty, but any kitten btwn 8wks & idk probably 1yr I'm just like...uhhhhh
Kittens will have different nutritional needs than adults and the recommendation for how much to feed will sometimes vary btwn brands, so check all labels for sure. I normally adopt only old and medically fragile cats (including IBS/IBD) so I know a good amount about adult cat nutrition, vs kittens.
