Dearborn's rich diversity of faith, culture and people makes Michigan stronger. And while the national climate is setting a bad example, Michiganders are doing things to rise above it. 2/3

Just this morning I was talking with my 13 year old about alternative ways to express frustration/disappointment with another. As a nerd, I emphasized that name calling and threats are a missed opportunity to share a detailed & substantive critique. Perhaps I should invite DT to these little chats.

Having been involved as an expert witness in three documentary proof of citizenship cases I expect DHS will find there are 1,000s of naturalized citizens who haven't updated their drivers' license citizenship status but they'll claim they are noncitizens

I would really appreciate it if Congress didn't provide for tax dollars to be used for handouts couched as settlements. We need some oversight, sunshine, and accounting. In the local government context, the city council approves settlements and the agreements are FOIAable.

I would really appreciate it if Congress didn't provide for tax dollars to be used for handouts couched as settlements. We need some oversight, sunshine, and accounting. In the local government context, the city council approves settlements and the agreements are FOIAable.
Some many of these messages were sent with "High" importance. Speaks volumes. I've used that feature less than half a dozen times in my career and never, ever in a personal context.

Gov't treating people differently based on their views, which it admits it is doing, is what the legal-jargon "content-based restriction" means. The US gov't is violently assaulting people who are peacefully expressing their views, just as John Lewis did 50 years ago.
