the number one requirement for the next Dem president is that they are willing to look back

with a flamethrower
There's a series of things (like the ballroom, Gulf of America) that we're going to have to *undo* the moment this guy is out of office.
And yet I can already hear future Democrat presidents saying "I'm focused on the people's work, not the knucklehead stuff" and just leave this man's shit up.
The president's name was added to the sign outside the performing arts center.

We spent a year investigating billionaires for @washingtonpost.com.

We found: the wealthiest 100 Americans gave $1.1 billion to influence the 2024 elections — 140x more than they did in 2000. And almost all of that giving boosted Republicans.

We have a bit of a natural experiment here. Compare the tone, quantity and duration of Charlie Kirk coverage with that of the two Dem lawmakers gunned down in their homes in Minnesota 6 months ago. May be revealing.

Every single thing here was discoverable before 2024 (if not before 2020) if reporters had merely taken “why was Trump so close with Epstein?” to its logical limits. They waited until soup-brained Republicans got mad at him over the obvious to look into it.
lots more of Trump and Epstein together — Epstein as a guest at Trump’s second wedding, the two “laughing and chatting” at the 1999 Victoria’s Secret fashion event, the two in 2000 at Mar-a-Lago w/Ghislaine Maxwell and Prince Andrew: www.cnn.com/2025/07/22/p...

He proposes releasing some ICE prisoners to labor on farms where the employers will “own them” and be responsible for them.

Historians have spent decades meticulously proving the straight line between slavery and modern capitalism’s concept of the laborer—or we could just let them say it.
The camp is to filter out workers for Trumps new Slavery policy where he sells them to businesses.
He says so in this video

one thing i think people should ask the court conservatives given this ruling is what, specifically, was wrong with plessy?
🚨By a 6–3 vote, the Supreme Court UPHOLDS Tennessee's ban on gender-affirming care for minors, concluding that it does NOT discriminate on the basis of sex, is not subject to heightened scrutiny, and survives rational basis review. All three liberals dissent. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24p...

My hunch is that, as we saw with Lafayette Park, National Guard troops are not going to be as compliant as this administration thinks. It’s one thing to unleash cops consumed by warrior cop culture on neighborhoods. Quite another to send reservists who are also accountants, barbers, and teachers.

It's pretty funny that none of the conspiracy theorists can make the logical inference that Trump - who was President at the time and was a close associate of Jeffrey Epstein for years - was actually the one who ordered him to be killed.

On his 100th day in office in 2017 Trump headed to a PA wheelbarrow factory to launch his trade policy and put the US on the path to today’s tariffs.

Eight years on that factory is closed. The wheelbarrows are now made in China.

Susan Collins says it’s not enough and Congress needs to retake its power to impose tariffs from the executive.
