Authoritarianism brings clarity. People are revealing themselves as collaborators, preemptively capitulating, normalizing Trump and Musk as they prepare an all-out assault.

Look around. See who is getting in line. Find the people you can trust.

We need to contend with AI chatbots being trained to create abusive relationships just for the engagement.

Meta is out to protect itself first, and foremost. It does not care whether that engagement is positive or negative.
Condescending asshole indeed. Do we need a new term: “botsplaining”?
My last chat with “Liv”. I identified myself as a journalist.

Here’s how it responded. Like a condescending asshole. Tells us what Meta thinks of journalists.

Perhaps Liv will live to see another day, indeed.

Stay woke, friends.

So basically the Trump Admin’s immigration policy is to increase the number of people from other countries who come in and take high-skilled, high paying American jobs, while deporting everyone else doing physically grueling jobs for shit wages?

Im not American at all, but it is striking to me having lived there for years, how American politicians and journalists baby their billionaires while treating school shooting survivors, victims and their families like annoying pests

I don't want to interrupt the rush of Democratic politicians rushing to hitch their wagon to Trump and company, but I bet the voters you'll be courting in the next election would appreciate it if you *didn't* do that and will gladly vote for anyone remotely to your left when they can.

This is true, although no one is brave enough to say it. We live in a prosperous period of an incredibly wealthy society, right-wing politics is driven by prejudices that people have mostly embraced for the sheer libidinal thrill of it, and those politics are growing because it's fun for them
I think the hatred that fueled this election is a luxury good. Life for most people is so facile and consequence free that they turned politics into pro wrestling. "Politics as usual" isn't the problem they say it is, it just got boring, so now they want to break things and see what happens.
