Look at this.
What the fuck is this?
It looks like someone tried to disguise a glass dildo!
Is that a bong in its hand?
Is that a dribble of white paint or a single fang?
Freaks me out. Say no to drugs, kids. Because what if you're on drugs and you see this shit? That's you, fried for life.

Nothing illustrates the arseholery of the IOC and the British Press more than the use of the image of a not-Trans woman to illustrate a story about trans women being banned (because there are no current trans women competing at this level)

What’s missing from the James Bond conversation (and too much current pop culture in general) is the extent to which this shit works best as a *lark* and the best answer to continuity questions is grow up, who fucking cares, just give me a guy in a tux jumping out of an airplane on a snowmobile

Mr. Bones, the skeleton in a suit who works for the government.
*taps earpiece* I'm being told he's actually a regular human with invisible tissues.
*taps again* Oh, he sweats cyanide, too.
*taps a third time, and then a fourth* Apparently he's also black???

At this point I do sincerely believe this anti phone and social media drive is rooted in the "social contagion" idea of being trans. They do not think she died because she used her phone, they think she died because people in her phone convinced her she was a girl.
Phones did not murder Brianna Ghey in cold blood.

There's only one way for the BBC to deal with a spiteful rightwing megalomaniac who wants to see the corporation destroyed. It must take the usual approach and invite him to appear on Question Time several times a year.

One of Horowitz's three Bond novels ends with him dying. The first is supposed to be his earliest mission. They contradict the books and the films. Him getting pissy about struggling to continue continuity is ripping the piss.

The extra frustrating thing about this, is that, after a few months of twisting themselves into pretzels, they'll do what is obvious and just restart the IP anyway.
And then spend a year trying to get the perfect casting (not just for Bond), because that's a far more challenging issue.

Bond meets Blofeld for the first time ever in the movie immediately following the one where he meets him. The whole twist at the half way point is Bond and Blofeld discovering who the other is.
Seems a bit late to get to the 26th Bond film and suddenly go “we really need to think about continuity

This is honestly the first time I’ve heard that James Bond died in his last film which probably says something about the emotional and cultural weight of James Bond dying in his last film
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”
Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:
“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

If Anthony Horowitz can't come up with a way of revealing James Bond is alive after No Time To Die, he should probably take advice from someone who's used to writing stories set in the outlandish world of James Bond, such as the novelist Anthony Horowitz

I like the Carry On films but the lore is too confusing, impossible for modern audiences to accept these people could play a major part in the French Revolution AND lose their bras on camping holidays

Wait, were the writers of recent Bond stuff suffering under the delusion that this is a series with tight continuity? Like...did they think that the Craig Bond was also active during the Cold War?

The first thing we did as a nation to honour those people’s awful sacrifice was boo Winston Churchill like a panto villain and lurch Britain further left than has ever been thought possible since. Reframing previous generations as nostalgic conservatives is fucking ridiculous.
