Now my helmet’s on, you can’t tell me I’m not in space.
I got Age of Bronze: Sacrifice signed at SDCC in 2007. Trying to make small talk I told Eric I loved reading his comics with my kids; he was aghast and told me DO NOT read Age of Bronze to young children—I quickly explained, somewhat tongue-tied, I had meant his OZ graphic novels.

After seven straight issues of Odin’s severed eye retelling Wagner’s Ring Cycle to Thor, courtesy of Roy Thomas and Mark Gruenwald, I agree; get to the fucking point, eyeball

Well, that’s that—my son Abe & I have finally finished the first 3 seasons of Maverick we’ve watched on his trips home from L.A., closing on the excellent episode Greenbacks Unlimited. This was the end of the road for James Garner (aside from one more Bret/Bart episode held over for season four.)

The 80s almost killed me let's not recall them quite so fondly. Some Kennedy O. D. while we watched on MTV.
Introduce yourself with what almost killed you.

Hi, I'm lightning!

Also: Hi, I'm a crazy guy with a giant knife on the subway!

Also: Hi, I'm 3 Midwestern dudes who want to fight b/c we don't like guys from NY telling us how to do our jobs, even tho' we suck at our jobs!
(P.S. I won.)
Hi. I’m a motorcycle

When low-budget horror movies from the 1970s and 80s start falling into the public domain in like 2070, what are filmmakers with no imagination going to do

I love Marvel’s recycled story titles; “If an Eye Offend Thee” from Daredevil #71, Marvel Team-Up #15, and Thor #292

If you’re going to invoke this hypothetical, I think it behooves you to consider the implications of welcoming history’s greatest monsters to your coalition for 1) the party; 2) the base and normal people who might vote for the party; and 3) your own soul
If Satan, Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini & Mao all reappeared and agreed to vote Democrat in 2026. I would welcome each & every one of their votes.

I couldnt give 2 shits about the moral/ethical Fibre of the person voting at this point. The goddamn house is on fire & you want to trim the lawn.

in 1975 when I was four, an Adventures of Superman fan, and wore a Clark Kent double-breasted suit with fedora and homemade press pass around town in Windsor, VT, I used to be stopped by J.D. Salinger who lived across the river in Cornish, NH, to talk about comic books.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

What these lack in quality they make up for in quantity. The roughly 5 years of comics (#281-336 plus annuals, 1979-1983) before Simonson returned to lift the title from its post-Kirby mediocrity. So much theeing and thouing; I’m looking forward to re-reading these just for the Bronze Age vamping.

Kurtzman/Severin’s Zero Hour from Frontline Combat #2 is one of the most brutal comics I’ve ever read. Trying to imagine being a 10-year-old in 1951 seeing this.

I am sitting in the morning in a rocket on the platform
I am waiting in the capsule for the man to start the countdown
And I take my protein pill and I am putting on my helmet
And I feel ignition starting so may God's love be with me.
