At this point I do sincerely believe this anti phone and social media drive is rooted in the "social contagion" idea of being trans. They do not think she died because she used her phone, they think she died because people in her phone convinced her she was a girl.

Do you not think it's bizarre to have strangers on the internet decide they know better than Brianna's own loved ones on what is or isn't insulting to her memory?

I have been making a very conscious and forceful effort, recently, to hunt down the exact kindof things I really enjoy, regardless of how well thought of they are by others. It's so nice to prioritise myself and what I like and want over trying to avoid scorn and ostracization.

Not to be too personal on the tl but I did spend nearly 18 years of my life, from an 11 year old, with my dad telling me I was nothing special and the sooner I gave up on creative works and "thinking I could be successful" the easier I'd find being nothing in life. Always told me to give up.

I have very "meh" feelings about that Frankenstein and again feel perplexed by the praise being heaped on something. Felt incredibly perfunctory; would probably feel the same if it was the first adaptation I'd seen as well.

Inception would have been so, so much better and far more interesting as a film about a man who people know and accept killed his wife. As opposed to "Oh no, she said no to you so you panicked and destroyed her concept of reality to get what you wanted but thats ~not your fault~"

Its really funny rewatching Nolan's Batman films and listening to a bunch of socialist ideas and understanding of society come out of the mouth of every villain, who is then beaten to a pulp by the billionaire taught martial arts by the spooky asian clan in the distant mountains.

The 30% yoy number must have come from some deranged, evil think tank because I've heard it from people across like 5 different industries now. Every company demanding a 30% increase in whatever they measure achievement in and every group of employees going dead eyed.
