Now I'm just writing fanfiction, but I'd love if they'd used the whole "I don't trust the feds" thing the security and engineering chiefs had, but made it a part of an overarching story about the fed gov being a deeply flawed vehicle full of people who also genuinely want to help
And the JTF hits all the right notes for me, just regular guys and gals thrown into an utterly impossible situation, extremely well armed gangs in front of them and a buckling fed gov backing them up, and what do they do? They tighten their helmets and *try*, because the city needs them

It's such a shame that The Division's setting and story are locked behind a Ubislop (not necessarily derogatory) looter-shooter from nearly a decade ago. NYC in the dead of winter, order struggling against opportunistic vultures, all around a core rotted through with plague is just so god damn good

i think that it is critically important to retaliate.
Trump will not just be four years of bad management. The culture of these organizations will be fucked for a long time. The pressure to retaliate and clean house will be strong, and no-one wants to work in a war zone.
