journalism when the govt wants to scan your retinas: “children, some as young as 25, are using encryption (classified as a munition by US export agencies) to evade common sense safety monitoring”

journalism when the govt is raping children: “the minor woman interacted with the esteemed senator”

Abigail Spanberger was just elected Governor of Virginia by a wider margin of victory than any Democratic gubernatorial candidate there since 1961, on a campaign explicitly repudiating Platner's brand of anti-minority white populism.
Ok guess we just don’t win the presidency or the senate or the house ever again.

redemption is an action, in the Jewish tradition you must seek to undo the damage you have done.

with that in mind, what actions has Platner taken to undo the damage? also our tradition calls for a sincere apology to those effected, where is his apology to the Jewish community? nu? we're waiting
In order to move men, we have to welcome folks who have done things in the past we abhor. We have to allow folks to redeem themselves.

It’s sometimes uncomfortable, but it’s the only way we can win moving forward.

The math doesn’t math without more men.

Worth remembering that whatever skepticism we might have about what specifically in the Epstein materials, the royal family of the UK saw enough for them to more or less do a damnatio memoriae on the king’s brother while he’s still alive.

Tim Kaine will 1000% vote to kill the filibuster in 2029 if we have a D trifecta just fwiw. he wanted to kill it in 2021 for voting rights legislation.

John Kennedy feeling comfortable saying this feels significant.
Sen. John Kennedy on Epstein: "I just don't think this issue is gonna go away until it's addressed and answered to the American people's satisfaction. And I may end up with a Sombrero on my head for saying that, but that's the way I see it."

why would anyone have positive feelings towards the New York Times? Can *anyone* name a substantial public story that wouldn't have broken otherwise without them that had a positive impact in the past 5-10 years? like, why would we have respect for an organization that is *parasitic on our suffering*

the big case people keep trying to make about Platner is that he's so wildly popular and such a talent (🙄) that even flawed he's the only one who can win because Maine loves him (🙄 🤮) which when almost 90% of all your money isn't from Maine somewhat undermines that idea.

why is Matt Gaetz not in jail in Florida on statutory rape charges?

the most obvious answer is a political one, Republicans, like Governor Ron DeSantis, protecting one of their own, refusing to bring an open and shut case against a prince of MAGA.

okay so like the feds weren't able to get enough together to prove Matt Gaetz violated the Man Act, questionable but fine

however the age of consent in Florida is 18, its a second degree felony to have sex with a 16/17 year old, we know Gaetz paid a 17 year old for sex

The damage done by treating Trump's victory as some sweeping mandate in the first eight months of his term really was massive, but ending that collective delusion - i think with the help of last week's elections - really is having profound impacts.

The really funny part is that the hate for Clinton came from her daring to try to reform healthcare in the 1990s.

And then 25 years later when she runs for President, the debunked right wing lies told about her get regurgitated by the left because she beat Sanders in the primary.
So many crickets tonight on both sides of the aisle.

Do y’all know how many republicans & democrats based their HRC hate on Epstein bs?

I gotta give the GOP credit. The $Billion they spent over the better part of a decade to trash the Clintons was well $ spent.

Jeffrey Epstein was picking out Trump term 1's cabinet secretaries. I repeat, Jeffrey Epstein was picking out the President of the United States' fucking cabinet.
well that's odd, because in late december 2018 epstein tells larry summers he's in palm beach, summers asks if he's going to mar-a-lago, then christmas morning epstein tells summers he's "being asked for 3 names to replace mnuchin"

At the same time the NY Times was hyping Hillary Clinton's emails, it had a reporter with emails from Jeffrey Epstein that were highly damaging to Trump.

The more NYT apologists try to minimize this the clearer it becomes that they don't understand why much of the public doesn't trust legacy media.
