Seeing multiple people talking about the "Transgender Bill of Rights" sponsored by @markey.senate.gov and @moulton.house.gov. It's not a bill at all. It's a non binding resolution that wouldn't do anything if it passed both houses - which it won't. Deeply disappointed to see people falling for it.

Minnesota still needs your attention
This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.

So apparently it's now just a risk in the US that airspace will suddenly shut and all flights to/from a metro will cancel for more than a week. Large companies will have to organize bus convoys to evacuate employees. Cool, cool. Definitely going to encourage business travel and tourism.

One of the most consistent themes of the Trump regime this time around: the utter inability to conceive of other people as having any agency. Doomers will say they always intended to ignore court orders. Partially true, almost certainly. But more than that, they never expected to *have to*.
This is a great analysis of what’s happening in cases related to mandatory detention. The Trump administration’s inability to administer the obvious effects of their own policies are only creating more problems for them in court.
