If there are three things I want to impress on everybody who reads anything I write they are:
* It's about power
* Don't take fascists at face value
* I am literally just some dickhead
I cannot empahsise this enough; I am just some dickhead. If you have experience living in the world as a trans person and a baseline level of intellectual curiosity about the world you have the same qualifications to do this stuff I do.

There's something to the way that Starmer finds his backbone when the threat is to Greenland instead of Venezuela. The something is racism.

The thing about dogpiles is that they often don't look like a dogpile to the people participating in them. Like you may think you are merely responding authentically to a Bad Take, but when you're the hundredth person sending the same person the same negative response you're doing harassment.

if this was satire it'd be pretty funny. but what is the worth of a "news" organisation that publishes absolute horseshit like this without caveat or criticism?

Perhaps it would be sensible not to harass the trans woman for being mildly perplexed by people being horny for the CGI dog?

“This will all affect cis women much more”

Yeah cos you’re not listening to or hearing about trans women, are you?

You can get done for cyber-bullying vis-a-vis falsely accusing someone of being a trans woman. But you get nothing if you provably harass trans women.

Simple transmisogyny.

If banning conversion therapy for all people would make your religion 'illegal' then your religion deserves to be illegal.

Loads of us are poor, most of us don't choose to join the racist murder squad about it. Constrained choices are still choices and I would choose anything over becoming an enforcer of imperialist brutality 🤷‍♀️

What a disgusting, cowardly, little maggot.
Govt minister Darren Jones is asked what element of international law gives the US the right to abduct the leader of another country.

Jones says he's not qualified to answer that question and he's not a spokesperson for the US administration.

In a shocking development, a forum dominated by white, middle class people whose identity is "parent" favours the fascists.
"Left-leaning mothers of Mumsnet are deserting Labour for Reform" [Times]

I can't stop laughing long enough to come up with something sarcastic to say about this headline.

The sooner you realise that "Who's gonna stop me?" is what motivates the bulk of conservative politics and animates today's male grievance movement, the better.

I think we need to be able to balance the reactions "this is another expression of 250 years of American imperialism" and "what do you MEAN we kidnapped the president of Venezuela and renditioned him to the US and are now claiming to run the country"

Moreover, ICE must be destroyed

I'm not saying I didn't make some mistakes at 23, but they were more on the order of thinking Florence and the Machine were good. War crimes didn't feature hugely.

Trump may be an authoritarian strong man at the head of an imperialist aggressor murdering people around the globe with impunity, but it is important to bear in mind that assassinating him would be illegal.
Maduro is a brutal and oppressive dictator of Venezuela.

Trump has no legitimate legal basis for military action against Venezuela under United States or international law.

Both of those facts are simultaneously true.
