Pretty confident the slope of their argument will go:

1. No, we’re only tracking illegal immigrants, because crime.

2. Well, some U.S. did end up being tracked as well. But again, because crime.

3. Of course there’s a database of U.S citizens, that’s how we keep you safe. You know, from crime.
Asked about the Maine ICE agent who told a protester that her info would be entered into a "nice little database," Lyons said there is no such database.

"There is no database that’s tracking U.S. citizens."

So I think everyone knows what Chuck E. Cheese is but for non-parents who don't know what LifeTouch is, it's the company that for decades has had a near-monopoly on school pictures.
Finding out that top execs from both LifeTouch and Chuck E. Cheese are in the Epstein files has pissed me off in a way that I didn’t think was still possible.

"While I have been thinking of these horrible things, though, I also glimpsed a fleeting moment of true joy: I watched the delivery driver who’d just dropped a package off at my front door absolutely gallop across the street to join a couple of neighborhood kids in a snowball fight."

We will be rebuilding our destroyed society from whatever we can piece together from cassette tapes, Betamax tapes, and scraps of old books and zines
making a list of american institutions that are meeting this moment, and so far I've got burning man and paleontology down here... guess we're rebuilding society around the study of dinosaur bones and doing drugs in the desert

(one big reason the doxxing they claim to be so worried about hasn't happened is that there's no such thing as doxxing a public servant)
Here's what DHS doesn't want you to know: Working for ICE is one of the safest jobs in America — and last year was the second-safest year for the agency on record.

And the doxxing? It hasn't actually happened even once.

The masks are justified by a lie. www.doomsdayscenario.co/p/ice-s-mask...
ICE's Masks Are All a Lie
Working for ICE is actually less dangerous than being an elementary school student in America.

"A threat to anyone’s constitutional rights is a threat to us all. Today, immigrants are being detained without due process. Tomorrow, under the Government’s [view], American citizens could be subject to the same treatment. This Court will not allow such an unraveling of the Constitution."
BONUS RULING: Judge Thomas Johnston, a George W. Bush appoiintee in West Virginia, used a recent ruling to warn of the dangers of defying due process for immigrants because of what it could also mean for Americans. It's worth a read.

The inability to see public posts without being logged in is perhaps the worst internet development in recent years imo. It started with tiktok of course.
Notably, only a small sample of a Twitter account’s posts are now available if you don’t login or download the app, and replies are completely inaccessible.

This judge is effectively asserting that the personal information you have to provide Twitter to have an account does not have value.

If there's anyone who can be deprived of due process, then _anyone_ can be deprived of due process.

This is very funny, but it also made me have a serious thought, which is how fucked up it is that a whole lot of parents consider it easier to tell a kid about death than about my existence
always so funny to me when people are like “how am I supposed to explain Gay to my kids?” my kid asks me way harder shit all the time. “why did they build the road this way? why are some people bad?” I don’t know. please ask me about Gay

he's just using the current right-wing definition of "pornography", which includes the presence or depiction of queer people in any way, and definitely includes a one-second shot of two fully-clothed men dancing suggestively.
