It’s cool that Zohran was able to find common ground with Trump on material issues of affordability while the rest of the Democratic Party has only found common ground with him on hating and harming trans people.

Moreover, I think the whole “change their mind” component is because the cishet people who say this *want* them to “change their mind.” They’re the people who make things hard for them. Without them, less trans people would “change their minds”, I’m sure.
The only truly irreversible thing a trans child is likely to do is take their own life. "What if they do something irreversible?" actually means "theyre not allowed to make a decision!"

You cant undo or reverse any decision you make, you can simply change your mind later and handle the consequences

Please hear me when I say that

1) these anti-medical woo birth movements have been a primary feeder into anti-vaxx eugenic movements

2) they pre-date the age of social media

3) they exist because we have not addressed medical sexism and specifically obstetric violence

Really enjoying ICE finding out North Carolina is an open carry state with a stand your ground law. My current favourite genre of TikTok videos is ICE agents in full camo in the woods being hunted by North Carolinians

I feel like a lot of us in the comedy world failed the world at large when we stayed silent despite knowing all about Cosby and Louis so let me say right now that Steve Martin has eaten one banjo a year for the last 25 years

& they literally will be rapists, racists, misogynistic, pedophiles, supportive of rape, bigots….etc.

My wife is a notary and any time someone needs a notary on the buy nothing group she volunteers. It’s a huge pain to get things notarized and is much easier when you can walk a couple blocks in the evening and meet neighbors as you do it.

Skill sharing as community work is fun.

But no resolutions condemning fascism, huh?
The House of Representatives voted 285–98 in favor of a resolution condemning socialism.

86 Dems joined Republicans in supporting the measure, incl. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

It was one of the most interfered with elections in history - objectively, openly, not just my opinion - which is why I don't listen to any nonsense about "THE VOTERS" and what they did wrong. If you're not looking at this first, your political analysis is worth a wet fart.
We spent a year investigating billionaires for @washingtonpost.com.

We found: the wealthiest 100 Americans gave $1.1 billion to influence the 2024 elections — 140x more than they did in 2000. And almost all of that giving boosted Republicans.
