Hard not to forget the stories I was told. Like the one where a comrade of my father's had his head blown off in an ambush, and he had to carry the body back so his family could bury him. It's crushing when I see Westerners insult men like them for merely having real principles and taking action.

These are like the cia trained men in Guatemala who abducted Maya children and murdered their parents. My dad survived these horrors himself as a mere child in 1982, at 13 years old. It's hard not to recall the history and stories I was told by both of my parents as I see ICE patrolling the streets.
