Early-retirement couch potato in his mid-50s.

I've seen the future. I can't afford it.

COMIC BOOK THERAPY! I've been really trying to be good, & curb the spending, but there's a small show every few months at a local Elks Club, & it called to me.

These 4 pics all from 1 dealer. The unpriced books were marked 2/$1, & he gave me the whole pile for $20. Those late-run GROOs!

I don't want anyone to fill in the details, but I have been happily oblivious to whatever the story is about The One Who Wears Too Much Orange Makeup, and whatever it's alleged he did with President Clinton.

Please do not tell me details.

I mean, I hope that I live long enough that we find out exactly WTF Marjorie T-G is up to with all of this stuff she's been doing the last month or so.

In "Peanuts," Lucy first yanked the football away from Charlie Brown on November 16, 1952. This wasn’t the first time the football had been yanked away from him—Violet holds that honor. But from this strip onward, Lucy was the culprit behind one of the strip’s most beloved recurring gags.

They make it so difficult. We are not currently subscribed to AppleTV. I created a new AppleID to be able to watch the 'Peanuts' specials during the free weekends, but it always only directs me to accept the 1-week free trial, which I don't want. I feel dumb.

'A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving' can be streamed for free this weekend. Here's how.

Where's Jeff tonight? He's back in Manhattan, to see comedian Alex Edelman (recently of 'The Paper'), performing his show 'What Are You Going To Do' at Carnegie Hall, as part of the New York Comedy Festival.

If you haven't, watch his 'Just For Us' on HBO.

That time in 1997 that my friend Joe & I were extras in the movie 'Chasing Amy'. This was from the very last scene, as Ben Affleck is leaving the comic convention, right before the credits run.

Every time they would do another take, we would lean out further to make sure that we were in the shot.

Top Shelf Friday time!

What's a comic in your collection that you think deserves to be on that top shelf? Whether its a key, rare, or just one you love ❤️

This week, AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #122 by Gerry Conway, Gil Kane, John Romita, & Tony Mortarello. Death of the Green Goblin! (He gets better.)

I don't have a kid, but 3-4 times I day, I open the fridge door and make an assessment about how long each item has been in there.

My lunch was some meatballs from Tuesday, sliced up on wheat bread, some cucumbers I pickled on Monday, & some Trader Joe's 'Holiday Cheer' cheese, bought yesterday.
Raising a kid is great but my favorite part of being a dad is eating stuff so it doesn't go to waste.

While working on my DC Finest checklist - someone said there are now digital version of DC Finest, as well as Spanish Editions. The Spanish version are republished by Panini. That's wild, I'll have to look into this later.

Just a reminder for anyone out there doing any early shopping for me… I do not want ANY birds (yes again) for Christmas this year. I don't care if you can get 2 turtle doves for the price of 1 or if there's a 4AM door-buster deal on French hens. Zero birds. None birds

A few years back, a friend of mine took the "On November 13, Felix Unger was asked to remove himself from his place of residence" pic, and McRib'ed it up. Which prompted me to recreate it.

(The closest McDonalds that shows that they have the McRib is in State College, PA, 4+ hours away.)
