Ed Cook wishes that he was eating a McRib right now

Early-retirement couch potato in his mid-50s.

I've seen the future. I can't afford it.
Wow! You've got a lot! Very jealous.

I need to take the time to read them all first, and draw mustaches on every image of Lois Lane and Betty and Veronica, before I send them to you.

Thanks! I love smaller shows, because I like to feel like I can see everything I want to see without getting overly tired. Plus, I set my alarm to go off every hour, so I don't get *too* lost looking.

One of the two, I worked with at the comic store I managed before I left to open my own, so I've known him for 35 years. The other guy was a customer of ours, and I've run into him 3 times in the last 3 months. I asked him if he had slipped an Air Tag on me, and was tracking my locations. ;-)

He was loved by millions! (I'm one of them.)

Thanks! I think everything was $70? I'm very happy with the haul, and I saw two people I know from real life, and we had pleasant conversations, but those 2 convos exhausted my supply for the rest of 2025 and the first quarter of 2026.

And, my first pickup today at the mini-con. The boxes caught my eye because there was an ARCHIE Christmas issue right up front. Marked $1 each, I handed him a $20, and gave me $10 back. Almost everyone giving deals today, right when the show opened!

More from today's mini-con: These CONAN THE BARBARIAN and CLAW all came from the same dealer. Marked at $1 each, he sold me the pile for $10.

More mini-con pick-ups: The first pic, he had his $5 books marked down to $3, & gave me the 4 of them for $10. I saw the SGT. FURY here this week?

Second pic from a different dealer, all $5 each. I don't think that I've ever seen that final issue of PLOP before, & love any DC 100-Pager.

I'm waiting for Hoda Kotb to explain it to me, and she had to go and quit the news business...

Christopher, are you a house husband who has picked up a pair of rip-away underwear?

Happy birthday, Ben!

Smart.

There was a fun post in the 'Overheard' group for my town yesterday, where someone posted anonymously to say that they were panicked, b/c they qualified for a free turkey from Ship-Rite, but they only had tiny or huge ones, and people had to reassure that turkeys would be restocked again.

I can like two things at once.

And I will be overenjoying Thanksgiving. Last night's dinner was turkey leftovers from the freezer from last year. I'm picking up a turkey from Popeye's on the 21st and cooking that, and then a smoked turkey on Thanksgiving Day. Lots of frozen turkey in my future.

I try to be consistent about what I want, and how I want it, but I've been tired/irritable this past week, and just want everything. ;-)
