Walz has always been a coward; he sicced the National Guard on protesters during the Floyd stuff in 2020, was generally cool with being on a pro-genocide ticket with Harris in 2024, and even backed off on the "weird" remarks with Vance during the campaign. Good riddance to him next year.

All right, I can now state definitively that this theory was very wrong.
A theory I think is worth developing is that the reason 2024 was bad for so many is because there were no new Steven Soderbergh movies. We may soon know more, as we are about to be blessed with two (theatrically released!) Soderberghs over the course of just a few months. An important data set.

By a vote of 76-23, S 1071 passes the motion to proceed to the motion to concur. Won't know who voted for this until the roll call is uploaded, but safe to say it passed with the support of at least 24 members of the Democratic caucus. (Rand Paul probably voted nay and Steve Daines has been absent).

Ella McCay definitely worth a watch, even though I wasn't a huge fan, but I think Brooks's Megalopolis is How Do You Know. Ella McCay's biggest issue is that it should have been 30 minutes shorter or 90 minutes longer. How Do You Know is the ravings of a madman.

It's cringe for people to freak out and suggest that someone else finish ASOIAF, but also it is pretty silly that Martin has spent the last decade getting increasingly rich and famous for not doing his job. People making fun of him is a small price to pay, comparatively speaking.
