These 20 House Democrats just joined Republicans in voting to fully repeal DC's police reform laws.

Wiping off the books critical laws on use of force, transparency, and preventing violent cops from getting rehired.

They think that they should have more say over DC police than the people of DC.

Pro-tip: critical thinking = asking questions!
The actual secret to why I know stuff is that I ask a question any time I don’t understand literally anything. I don’t care how simple it is. Anybody who makes fun of you for asking a simple question likely doesn’t know the answer either

Cocaine so white it says “ope, lemme just squeeeeeze right past ya there and grab the ranch.”
Cocaine so white it asks "working hard or hardly working?"
Cocaine so white it stands up and tells the table “time to rock and roll” before leaving Chili’s

“Nvidia Gives Strong Forecast, Countering Fears of AI Bubble”

I very much disagree with this framing. People buying lots of Nvidia GPUs tells us nothing about the eventual ROI on those GPUs.

In fact, a bubble effectively <requires> “too many” of these to be bought.

NEW: Judge dismisses the Trump Admin's challenge to NY's Protect Our Courts Act, a law prohibiting immigration arrests at NY's courthouses!

This is an important response to those who say states can't hold ICE officers accountable to the law.

It ain't inexperience, its options.

If you're a genuinely talented educated professional under 40, you likely aren't Republican.

And if you are, you likely aren't working for the administration.

The GOP talent pipeline has ceased to exist. And it shows.
i don't think it's a coicidence that a lot of the worst actors in this administration are under 40. more experienced/capable people would simply not be putting themselves in these kinds of damning and reputation destroying situations.

One curious thing on this site about speaking out against the encroachment of LLMs is that inevitably you get accused of being anti-tech. I don’t hate technology. I’ve used machine learning in my own code before. But I also recognize that oligarchs are so hellbent on pushing this tech for a reason.

So on Epstein, the Democratic position should be "Trump should resign." If you are a Democratic elected, practice saying "We demand the president's resignation" in front of a mirror as many times as it takes until the dry-heaving that comes from having a phobia about actually doing politics passes.

KBJ threaded the needle thanks to CA1’s unfinished business.

-if she denied the admin stay, the full SCOTUS woulda stepped in to override her.
-if she immediately referred the case to the full Court, they coulda dragged feet.
-instead she boxed them in to act quickly once she does refer the case.

Did you know a former White House climate advisor flipped a GOP stronghold in Virginia by running entirely on putting a stop to more AI data centers?

For @heatmap.news I profiled John McAuliff and a campaign that will be a roadmap for all future anti-AI politicians moving forward.
This Virginia Election Was a Warning for Data Centers
John McAuliff ran his campaign almost entirely on data centers — and won.
