the way to think about the crimes you see around you as wounds on the body politic. you can't just ignore them, you have to cauterize them.
i used to think that it was wrong to meet violence with violence, to take actions your enemy would take, but then i came to my senses and saw that if you do not take firm and decisive action to stop transgressors you get a half-assed reconstruction and the same crimes against humanity all over again
we must stop buying this idiotic American idea that the worst thing you can do to a white powerful man for committing horrible crimes against democracy is "losing your job and people saying mean things about you."
