If ICE is gonna buy all these warehouses to convert into concentration camps, it might be informative find out which organizations or individuals are selling them to them.

Just saying. Sounds like a matter of huge public interest.

In incredible news, the European Parliament has voted overwhelmingly for "The Full Recognition Of Trans Women As Women."

Even the center-right European People's Party voted for the declaration.

It will form a foundation for their position at the UN Commission on the Status of Women.

Our latest.
European Parliament Votes Overwhelmingly For "The Full Recognition Of Trans Women As Women"
The resolution, though nonbinding, is a significant shot at those who seek to erode transgender rights on the continent.

YESSS!! Speaking of furry comics, modern fursonas as we know them were invented by Ken Coug'r (Ken Sample), a Black illustrator who started drawing furries in the mid-70's and was the first to really explore them as an extension of the self in the late 80's! He also has a very charming style imo.

I’m tired of the ignorance of voters saying “idk what the big deal is about requiring id to vote”🤦🏽‍♀️ ppl take a civics class & understand the 24th Amendment makes poll taxes ILLEGAL! Ah yes that word illegal. You can’t make ppl PAY for a document to vote… it violates the constitution, so no SAVE Act!

Yeah, every time, the rich don't leave the city where they have roots and would rather live when taxed an amount that literally doesn't change their lifestyle but helps everyone else.

Other municipalities need to stop letting the rich hold them hostage like some kind of comic book supervillains.
Holy moly: Seattle’s millionaire tax, passed last year, is expected to bring in $115 million in its 1st year, way more than the $50 million anticipated.

The funds will go to the city’s new social housing developer publicola.com/2026/02/11/t...

(Is NY Gov Hochul paying attention?)
Seattle’s millionaire tax is a huge success. Here is how grassroots groups beat big money and are now raising tons of money for mixed income, rent stabilized housing. (We call it “social housing.”)

In case you're somehow unaware, this dystopian horror is that rich people who already literally live like royalty want the modern Gestapo to detain and imprison more innocent people for longer periods so that they can further profit off of such misery to needlessly make number go up.
In earnings calls earlier today, investors in GEO Group and CoreCivic criticized ICE. Their chief complaint? ICE's detained population, despite hitting record highs, still isn't large enough.

CoreCivic and GEO Group’s investors expressed frustration that ICE’s record immigration detention numbers aren’t high enough.

I feel this way about pretty much all vaccine-preventable infectious diseases. You shouldn't be allowed to dump cyanide into municipal drinking water and you shouldn't be allowed to recreationally spread viruses around shared public spaces.
My most authoritarian opinion is that the MMR vaccine should be mandatory, with only medical (not religious or floofy) exemptions allowed. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

Oh what a spicy spot to cut that for character count.

We lost our culture when fascists and white supremacists starting insisting the vikings and Romans were both white culture. Europe's colourful history becoming a nonsense slurry. We can only steal other culture now.

related to the view among the professional commentariat that only students at ivys and boutique liberal arts colleges actually matter
This elitist view that only rich/Ivy/private school kids should study/have access the liberal arts is so deeply ingrained in so many highly educated Democrats’ views (including tons who majored in the lib arts themselves) that they don’t even realize they hold it, let alone how ugly & elitist it is
(3) But the Democrat view is also bad: while it's fine for people at Princeton and Harvard to study Latin and Sanskrit, public higher education is about job training and $ ROI. There is no room for the idea that curiosity-driven inquiry is a good that should be supported by the public.

And with a LARGE degree of disrespect: if you used or advocated for AI in my industry, I will never work with you or hire you, ever. You earned a lifetime membership to my personal shitlist. You knew it was wrong, and you did not care, and you get to reconcile with the ramifications of your choices.
I will absolutely equate people who use AI with fascists / Nazis / colonizers because their universal base function, their shared core structure of behavioral patterns, is to violate boundaries and thieve attribution in an attempt to escape their own inadequacy. They take, because they can't make.

I... cannot express how evil this is, and how none of these people will see heaven.
On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

The thing about all the Newsom posting is that people are giving themselves negative feelings about the party as a whole based on something at best hypothetical (more likely imaginary) and after the thing doesn’t come to pass, those negative feelings will remain, searching for justification.
