Apologies in advance because I'm not going to shut up about The Killing Stone today. It's not every day we get to launch a game, and I'm especially proud of this one. (P.S. Please wishlist it, it unlocks in less than an hour!)

This is great because there’s at least five credible options and everyone has strong opinions while being essentially meaningless. Bluesky needs this.
you are all fools the REAL music question that will cause intergenerational warfare on bluesky is actually: what is weird al's signature song?

The fun thing is “send innocent adventurers to die to horrors” is like a whole subgenre since these games first dropped
Woah... this account is almost at 500 followers! I'm very glad you all share this hyperfixation on sending impressionable adventurers to die to labyrinthine horrors beyond our comprehension! If you'd like to document any of these horrors in particular, come stop by the Wiki's discord!

Yeah. Between that and CHIPS, a lot of investment that *should've* gone into building semiconductor production instead chased speculation or positional goods, because it's really fucking hard to expand (or even maintain) a manufacturing supply chain when tariffs are determined by Senility RNG.
We're also seeing whìplash from decisions taken to deal with tariffs earlier at play here. I strongly suspect

I think this is basically true on both sides of this conversation. Like, everyone making decisive statements at all about 2028 when the 26 campaign is only just starting are working through some stuff and we should probably just let them get it out of their system.

It’s amazing how true this is on everything from “can’t beat a boss in this game” all the way up to “critical project at work”
I love how brains work. One day you'll wake up totally overwhelmed by a series of obstacles that have suddenly presented themselves, spend 24 hours fully spinning out about it without making an inch of progress, and then you'll get up the next morning and just line problems up and knock them down.

It is amazing how the other forms I’ve done have like “how would you address this issue?” with space to type, and this one is basically “do you believe in freedom or taxes pick one”
I am reading over an endorsement questionnaire from the chamber of commerce right now and based on these questions this is exactly what they want actually.

Last time I bought I did a premade because the prices were better than building it yourself due to the manufacturers getting locked-in rates from long term agreements.

That was immediately after the pandemic, things have only gotten so much worse since.
i am lucky in that i have a vertiable mountain of pretty fast storage at my home workstation already, i just needed a couple 4TB shuttle drives to supplement things. If you are building a workstation from scratch, RIP in peace, you are truly fucked.

I was told by more than one voter that they didn't want to vote for Kamala Harris because she seemed kinda stupid, & this sort of deliberate coverage is exactly how people got that impression.
Have you ever once seen the New York Times quote Trump like this?

.hack walked so SAO could crawl
Logging on to The World in an alternate 2010.

Dot Hack's runaway popularity did actually spawn a genuine online game in Japan, .hack//fragment, that ran for a couple of years.

The PAL version took almost two years to arrive, March 2004, so it's always felt like a late mid-lifeish PS2 title to me.

We’ve made tons of progress in multiple areas in a couple of decades but people just do not want to believe it
Very much the same as health care pre-ACA, everyone has just memory holed what that was actually like and refuse to believe that it was a significant improvement over what came before.

Some noble, inclusive, and democratic "real America" from the past is not coming to save us, nor are we doomed to forever live in an oppressive, racist, and exclusionary "real America" that has always existed. Both versions of "our" history are real. America's future is up to us.
