Making a new horror game where you’re just going about your day and everything is normal but your phone keeps making the noise
in a beta of one of my twine games, one of the early scenes played the slack message sound as you get pinged (which was supposed to feel anticipation) but playtesters felt upset and legitimately stressed. i wasnt trying to make them feel that until later so i removed it

Fascinating. Either they think they have the no votes secured to shut it down or they just want to rip the band-aid off. Either one looks bad for them.

Online movie complaining is all about trying to find plot holes by not doing any thinking whatsoever. Like in the new Jurassic World movie, I saw complaints about the loser boyfriend jumping into the ocean to rescue his girlfriend. My wife saw that and thought, "Of course, he'd be a lifeguard."

So the first two Bard's Tale games have the power of the bard songs based on the level of the zone you're in. So by the end of the second game I was getting like, a bonus of 5 to everyone's AC. Fairly significant in a D20-based system.

Even though I have developed more of an appreciation for Old RPG Bullshit of late, this particular dungeon in Bard's Tale 2 is really pushing my upper limit.

This is why the regulators leave and go to the private companies, guys, the revolving door stops by making the financial incentive go away:
if you want good federal government you need good federal government workers, and if you want good federal government workers you need to compete for them in the labor market.

Voice actors never get paid royalties on video games. It's one of the biggest scars on the industry as a whole.
