worth noting that the second rich people stopped being afraid of mobs tearing them limb from limb, they stopped building libraries and opera houses and stuff and started ripping the copper wiring out of the walls of society instead

Wait, is this my dad's favorite movie, the movie I like best among my dad's favorites, or my favorite among generic 'dad movies'?

I already know it's the last one. I just asked because I want an excuse to share that my dad's favorite movies were The Chronicles of Riddick (lol)

I've been watching a (ridiculous) anime about this, so I know what's going to happen. The dead accounts are going to turn into demons and we'll need a rag-tag band of plucky high schoolers to fight those demons.
AI “deadbots” aim to replace the dead—and raise plenty of ethical issues, Charley Burlock argues. “Perhaps the biggest question is how such a product might shift our experience of personal grief and collective memory.”

The death penalty isn't about if criminals deserve to die, but rather how extracting that penalty changes us as a people.
Please understand that the DEATH PENALTY is a huge reason why so many people feel comfortable justifying the murders of Keith Porter Jr., Renee Good, and Alex Pretti. Ongoing state and federal executions make death by the hands of authority in general less likely to shock the conscience.

It's the stupidest pet peeve in the world, but it drives me bonkers to see women in lingerie with their panties on under their garter belts.
Garter belts go *under* the panties so you don't have to take them off every time you need to pee.

The key to the far right’s recent ascendence is the realization that if they simply go on traditional or social media and describe things that are completely false but they’d prefer to be true, many people will treat this fictitious reality as, at least, a competing theory that must be dignified.
It is fucking crazy that he’s talking about an incident on video like this. None of this is real!
