Today marks 7 years of sobriety for me. My dad died of alcoholism in 2024 so now I have a straightforward excuse for why I don't drink. If anyone is struggling with substance abuse, please get help, go to a doctor, DM me—literally anything other than suffering in silence as you destroy yourself.

I don't think folks in general are getting enough rest. I don't. I take my PTO but there's still a deficit. All I can say is "know when to call a cab" and "know when not to operate heavy machinery" and the rest can be dealt with as it comes.
