Same night at the Art Institute of Chicago Pitchfork thing. I knew when @danielbachman.bsky.social was scheduled to play and showed up but it took a minute of standing in that big stairway w lots of echoing noise before I realized I was listening to him amidst the voices.
I’ve see some pictures of Kamasi Washington at the Grammys and it reminds me that once I was at a festival and at one point came around a blind corner and almost ran into him and he was HUGE all decked out in his robes and shit. I’m not a small guy. Also, great show.
